Mental action

Mental action refers to the action an expert would take to avoid getting stuck in the way stundents are getting stuck in their learning.[1] The term is related to mental move. In Decoding the Disciplines both terms are basically tantamount. Sometimes mental move is used to refer to mental actions made transparent in Step 2 of Decoding.
